Lt. Gen. Humayun Khan Bangash has had a successful career which spans many fields. He
retired as Corps Commander Lahore and served as Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey and
Macedonia. He was the founding Chairman of Askari Bank Ltd. and CEO of World Call
Communications.

Presently Gen. Bangash is an active member of the prestigious think tanks of the country viz
PILDAT and Pakistan National Forum. He is also the President of India Pakistan Soldiers
Initiative for Peace (IPSI).

His latent passion and talent for calligraphy remained dormant till he was 70 years old and joint Hast-o-Neest, an institution established for promotion of traditional Arts. Within a short span of six years he has emerged as an accomplished and well recognized calligrapher of the country.
He has had solo exhibitions both inside the country and internationally.

In 2014 he was elected Patron of Calligraphers Society of Pakistan.
